The uniformity of the deep, rich cobalt blue color makes these lapis stones grade A quality. The more consistent the color and the less inclusions of gray the higher the grade. The lesser grades B, C tend to be spotted and mottled and less cobalt in color. Lapis coordinates with both the throat chakra where we experience creative self expression and honest communication. It is also associated with the third eye chakra and is known to promote psychic dreams. The sleek and sculptural shapes of lapis make them ideal objets to set atop a stack of books, use as bookends or place on a desk or piece of furniture.
